Here we are.. already approaching the weekend before Thanksgiving. Summer is long-gone and all we have to keep us warm here in Michigan is Hot Blues. But we got 'em!
Again, our hats off to Willie Sweet Tea (Bill Toll) for the win at The Southern Canada Blues Challenge in the Solo group. And, a shout-out to Matt Besey for his win in the Band division! Two Michigan Boys on their way to Memphis!

When Myspace was operating well, they kept a list of "shows" and gave options to the music "genre" and the bands all posted their gigs. It was simple to relay the info. But now that Myspace is all but kaput... and facebook is so "in the moment" and isn't good at providing a list of Blues gigs. We find ourselfs having to dig deeper in lookin' for where the Blues gigs are. We're getting on the mailing list for those bands that provide one. So, to all you Blues musicians out there...Junior Wells said it.. "You Gotta Help Me, Baby.. I Can't Do It By Myself"!" Don't make us work too hard to find you... Please let us know where you're playing at! We want to bring YOUR Blues to our calendar.
Before we put our pilgrim hats on next week...let's see where we can put our BLUES hats on in Michigan this weekend!
Flint has the chance to see Motor City Josh & The Big 3 at Redwood both Friday & Saturday and at Scooters from 7-10pm on Sunday. For thoses that have stayed away from Redwood because of the over-inflated price of drinks should give them another try. We we're pleased to see all the new drink specials at cut-rate prices. And, we can never say enough about Motor City Josh.. this is big-time good, people. The band is EXCELLENT... and they all carry great Mojo.
